Whent he Ravens get McNair it will unify the team, right? Well NO.

Key veterans continue to avoide the Ravens practice field despite the addition of glamourous new QB Steve McNair. Or one coudl ask is it because of him? Do Ed Reed and the like know that the large amount of money poured into McNair hurts all of their own chances at newer, bigger, better contracts? Any way the fact that key contributors coming off of injuries are not in camp is certainly NOT a plus for the Ravens.

List up to 10

It is now speculated that the Bronocs are in talks with 10 different clubs about disgruntled WR Ashley Lelie. Talks are slow because Denver hopes to get a 1st or 2nd round pick for him. I wonder if the intention is to get for Lelie what they gave for Walker?

Holmes again

Steeler's draft pick Santonio Holmes was reportedily arrested last night in his Columbus Ohio home for domestic abuse. This comes on the heels of a disorderly conduct arrest in Florida. Drafted in April and busted twice since, Ohio State really had a bad character year with the college recruiting class of Maurice Clarette.

Al Harris takes it to next level

What started as a sit out to prove a point sounds as if it may escalate to a problem. Al Harris is now suggesting he may sit out of things when they matter not just voluntary workouts. He says he just wants the Packers to be "fair" I would like to say the "fair" comes to town once a year and 90% of the time is overrated. The money Harris is getting is certainly nice compensation for a man of his age. Now to represent him honestly he is not asking for 10 million (Woodson's bonus) or 12 million (Kampman's bonus) just that a larger percent of his own bonus money (5 million is the rumor) be moved from perfomrance based incentives to his wallet. It also sounds like he wants a 1 million dollar Pro Bowl bonus. While I love AL Harris's play on a young club like Green Bay that needs some help at Oline and some depth chart adds maybe trading a 32 year CB is best. I am certain new England, San Diego, Kansas City, Miami, Cleveland, and maybe Pittsburgh would love to add a tough bump and run CB that WRs hate.

Jeff Samardzija

Looks like the Chicago Cubs, Bud Selig, and the odd unwriten rules structure in the MLB baseball are combining to create a perfect storm of inability that will push Jeff Samardzija into the NFL. $7.25 million just to give up football whew!

Fred-Ex looks good

The Ft Worth Star Telegram is reporting Freddie Mitchell looked very good in his Cowboy work out. The Cowboys have no extended an offer yet. I wonder if 10 teams are interested in a soft WR like Lelie cant Fred Ex find work?

Get better in the draft?

For the Green Bay Packers they will by default. If you remove this pure Ted Thompson draft, where the Packers look like 10 out of 12 will make the squad, the Packers had 34% rentention of draft picks. Not only was the draft not producing starters it was barely provideing players at all. This study opened my eyes a little farther to how poorly Mike Sherman ran this team.
